At so many pivotal points in my life, when I'm faced with an important decision, I'm met with resistance.
It seems like everyone around me disagrees with what I've already decided.
It's gotten to the point where I'd rather not share the moves I'm making. I'll let people witness the testimony instead.
They'll say things like, "If it were me, I'd do it differently."
Thankfully, you aren't me.
Thankfully, we're all free to decide what's best for ourselves without someone else overestimating the weight of their opinion.
I'm my own influence.

Some of the greatest rewards in my life have come from making decisions most people weren't brave enough to make. I'm not speaking egotistically.
I know from experience that I find success when I trust myself.
I find success when there are doubters & people acting as the opposition.
There have been so many moments where I chose to block out the noise.
Ultimately, I'll always have my mind made up before the conversation starts.
I've stopped mistaking opposition for instruction.

First of all, that line about “opposition being instruction” was a bar. That was probably the line that echoed in my mind the most after I finished reading.
The idea of people who aren’t where you want to go trying to tell you how to get where you want to go has always been wild to me.
The spark came to you for a reason. Continue to let it guide you.
